Gentyane Platform : High Throughput Genotyping and Sequencing in Auvergne

The Gentyane Genomic Services platform in Genotyping and High Throughput Sequencing, is attached to the UMR INRA-UCA 1095 Genetics Diversity and Ecophysiology of Cereals. Gentyane develops:

1. a research and development activity on genotyping and sequencing technologies in connection with the research teams of UMR GDEC;
2. a genotyping and sequencing service delivery activity for other INRA teams or other public and private bodies;
3. a technological watch allowing to put in place new tools answering better, more quickly and at a lower cost to the expectations of the users.

The platform is certified ISO 9001: 2015 and NF-X 50-900 2016, labeled Collective Scientific Infrastructure in September 2018.

Services that may be offered:

Delivery in high-speed production:

• Genotyping: Microsatellites (SSR), Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP), Structural Variations (CNV)
• Sequencing: Long Reads (PacificBiosciences Sequel 1M and 8M)
• Optical Mapping: Optical Maps (Saphyr BionanoGenomics)

Proposed Genomic Applications:

• Sequencing and assembly of complex genomes
• Structural Variant Analysis (SNP Single Nucleotide Polymorphism, SSR Single Sequence Repeat, CNV Copy Number Variation) for Phylogenetic Diversity Characterization
• Expression analysis.

Genomic applications in development:

• Sequencing complex genomes: combination of techniques to obtain an innovative service: Pacific Biosciences Sequel 8M + Bionano Genomics Saphyr (and / or TEN X Genomics). Combined with conventional bioinformatic tools for genome assembly (in connection with the SIBI platform), this service will ultimately provide a turnkey service for analyzing the structure of any complex genome.
